Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

  • 2 lb fresh asparagus, ends trimmed

  • 12 slices bacon, uncooked

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Wrap one piece of bacon around 3 – 4 asparagus spears.
  • Place in shallow baking dish. Repeat with remaining asparagus and bacon.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over asparagus bundles.
  • Bake 25 – 30 minutes, until spears begin to wilt and bacon is cooked.
